Intersectional and Culturally Aware Services
At FLRC, we are committed to providing intersectional and culturally aware services that respect and cater to the diverse backgrounds of our clients:
Culturally Informed: All our programs are delivered with a deep understanding of and respect for the diverse cultural backgrounds of our clients. We ensure that our services are culturally sensitive, acknowledging and valuing the unique beliefs, traditions, and practices of each individual and community we serve.
Intersectionality: Our services are designed to recognize and address the complex and overlapping identities and experiences of our clients. We understand that factors such as gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and disability can intersect to shape individuals’ experiences of violence and trauma. Therefore, our programs are tailored to meet these diverse needs with sensitivity and inclusivity.
The Salvation Army Family Life Resource Centre (FLRC) is an emergency short term shelter in the Brampton area for women and their children escaping partner violence.
